Clear the Run history on the Start menu

Windows saves a history of the file names, programs, and locations you type in the Run dialog box. You can delete this history, which you might want to do if you're using a shared or public computer.

1. Click to open Taskbar and Start Menu Properties.

2. Click the Start Menu tab, and then, under Privacy, clear the Store and display a list of recently opened programs in the Start menu check box.

3. Click OK.
